Jordan McDonald’s Living on the edge:The iPhone – Revolutionary, yes. Legendary, yes. Innovative, no.
Written by Jordan McDonald, The Eagle Senior Columnist
Disclaimer: (for anyone who is easily offended) – This isn’t a reflection on Apple or Steve Jobs. That is all.
As if America didn’t already have enough obsessions, the new iPhone had to come along and add insult to injury. Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t get it. What’s so great about it? It’s just a cell phone – not the hand of God. People think it has magical powers and will solve all their problems. In this day in age, you’d think they’d be more realistic. I never really liked any of the iPhones because they were no different from any other smartphone. They could quite possibly be worse in many ways, physically anyways. It doesn’t flip, it doesn’t slide. It’s boring. The same can be said for the iPad. It’s just like the iPhone, and the iPhone is just like everything else. I’ll take the Droid any day. It’s the better choice, obviously. I mean, seriously – this country has all the wrong priorities.

Poetry Corner: Pretty Little Liar
Written by Name withheld by request
You think that you know me
You think that I’m nice
You say that I can’t hurt a fly
But be aware, I bite
Stay off of my nerves
Don’t even take a chance
Before we even start to talk
It will be a bad romance
You think that I’m an angel
It’s me that you desire
But believe me when I tell you
I’m a pretty little liar
