Swim teams push aside 3 schools, win big

Written by Miriam Levenson, The Eagle Staff Writer

“We try to do our best against our biggest competitors.” This comment was delivered by junior Annie Widom about the boys and girls swim teams.  Yesterday night was yet another win against Brasher,Langley, and Oliver.  With over eighteen first places, the coaches were pleased about this meet.  Since the competition was considered small, both coaches tried new events for their simmers.  Mark Rauterkus praised Ben Junker for swimming three events in a row with only seconds to catch his breath.  Everyone on the team is getting pumped up for their upcoming meet against the Allderdice Dragons.  As Wendy Levenson said, “It should be a tough meet, but with us practicing every day, another win is sure to come.”
