This year marks the departure of several teachers from our high school staff. One of them is Mrs. Kiesel. After a 35 year career that ends at Obama, she is finally going to retire at the end of this school year. “I think the thing I will miss the most is getting up at 5:30 in the morning,” she jokes. But what she really is going to miss is leaving all the hard-working students she has had over the years, and the wonderful staff of the Social Studies department both here and at Schenley. When asked about what she plans to do while retires, she says: “I plan on doing what strikes my fancy. Hopefully, it will be legal.”
