There are all different kinds of music with different genres. Not many people like every genre or style of music. We all have our likes and dislikes. A major part, to me, of why people don’t like or do like certain genres is because it’s new to them and it’s not like the same type of music they listen to. It could be reggae, Latin-American, or African beats, that person may not be like it right off the bat.
The thing that almost every person does is listen to the song for a few seconds; if and because it’s unusual to their ears they turn it off instantly and go back to their regular music. Instead of listening to the song for a few minutes or so and actually letting it soak in to feel the beat, rhythm, and even listen to the words. If you pay attention to the music you listen to, it can change your mood.
For example, if you listen to love songs that basically state that they lost that one special person in their life. Listening to that genre of music can make you sad because that has happened to you before, you never had that relationship, or sad because you’re just lonely. If you’re going to listen to music, in my opinion, I prefer everyone to listen to songs that make you’re happy, energized, or hyped for no reason.
The kind of music you listen to sometimes depends on the mood you are in. For example, if you’re sad you listen to sad songs that make you depressed, if you in a happy mood you listen to music that makes you even more happy or hyped. There are all different kinds of music that fit with your mood or personality. Listening to different genres of music can expand your mind to new open things like listening to Latin-American songs might cause you to want to learn how it was made, the language and maybe to learn more about their culture.
If you haven’t noticed by now, the acoustic sounds in any genre of music sounds much better than the beats they make from machine. It makes your music sound better to the ear no matter the genre.
