Eagles pound Langley; heating up for playoffs

So said Coach Kocur after his Eagles pounded Langley 17-7 on Thursday afternoon. Joel Akrie had two doubles and 5 runs batted in, and Chelsey Sirmons and Luke Miller each added a couple of hits. Mike Noftz picked up his third win of the season with help from Cassel West.
The Eagles led 14-0 at one point.
The team has 4 games next week, including the opening of the playoffs. The need for good pitching is not lost on Kocur, who said, “Pitching is the name of the game. We have a couple of good pitchers who will need to be smart and hit spots next week,:
