A group of German exchange students came to visit our school last Friday.  There were 18 of them and they each shadowed a senior throughout the day.  All of them were unbelievably attractive and had very good English. They had visited Hampton High School earlier in the week and many of the students said they preferred Obama because it was more like their school at home.

These students attend Sophie Scholl Schule ,located in Berlin, Germany.  Our two schools are very similar but still quite different.  Both are located in the city and are fairly large, but at Sophie Scholl Schule, the students are allowed to leave the building during lunch and they don’t need a hall pass to go use the bathroom.

“For us, school starts at 8.  We have different schedules everyday,” said one student, Alessio.  “We don’t have a swimming pool or security,” said another student named Lea.  The students are really enjoying Pittsburgh so far.  “The downtown is cool,” said Alessio.  If he thinks our downtown is cool, then he will really love New York City, which is where they are going later this week.

Scott Moore, a senior at Obama, said that he really enjoyed brushing up on his German.
