Recognition Night lauds all Honor Roll students

On March 20th, Obama Academy hosted the Honor Ceremony, which was for students grade 6-12. The doors at opened at 6:00, and  students and parents charged in for the appetizers. Out of all the appetizers, the first one gone was the shrimp cocktail.

The ceremony kicked off with the middle school students who made Honor Roll for the 1st and 2nd report periods. After that, middle school students who made high honor for the 1st and 2nd report periods. Last was the middle school students who maintained a 4.0 GPA for both report periods.

After all the middle school students finished received their medals, the high students received their awards. It went in the same order as middle school. Dr.Miles Brown inducted the high school, while Dr.Walters inducted middle school. “Wonderful” Dr. Walters commented on how it felt.”It’s a special feeling”, he also said when he was awarding the students for their hard work.

Overall, the event was a wonderful,exciting for all who came. The food was great and Dr.Walters himself was very happy with the event.
