Professional Pianist and Director Douglas Levine to Visit Obama

Sam Bisno, Editor-in-Chief

Do you play an instrument? Sing? Do musical theater? Then save the date. On Friday, April 13, at 2:00 PM, Pittsburgh pianist, composer, and director Douglas Levine will be coming to Obama for a seminar on musical theory and composition. Three fortunate Obama students will have the opportunity for a 15-minute one-on-one session with Mr. Levine in front of a live audience. Each student will perform a song, three to four minutes in length, with Mr. Levine on the piano to accompany. Afterwards, he will offer constructive criticism to each student and work with each on his/her vocals and dynamics.

Douglas Levine is currently working on Up and Away at the CLO Cabaret, which runs until April 22. If you are interested in being one of the three students to appear onstage with Mr. Levine, please contact Mr. Chapman.

The Eagle will cover the event for those who cannot attend, but the experience is a unique one, so you won’t want to miss it.
