Girls Hoop Team Looks Up Although it was a rough game with Oliver on January 4th, the girls’ basketball team won both the varsity and junior varsity games, excelling in rebounds and free shots, 64-26.

Taylor Smith led the team with 26 points, and Carla Reed added 14.

After reaching the playoffs last year, the girls are slowly making improvements that are leading the way to more victories. Running the plays and being more focused on defense has been the key, as has teamwork. Basketball is teamwork, and without it, there is no victory. The Schenley Girls Basketball has clearly improved on defense and teamwork.
