The Obama Eagkes baseball team began their legacy on Monday with a 17-2 pounding of the Oliver Bears at rainy and cold Mellon Park. dan Wimer had three hits, including two doubles and knocked in 5 runs to pace Obama, while Horace Pope chipped in with two more hits. Pitcher Mike Noftz (Career Connections) pitched 5 innings and struck out for the win. The mercy rule ended the game after the top of the 5th inning.
