In the City League football season opener the Obama Eagles or Wildcats clenched a big win over the Carrick Raiders (56-0). This win was very anticipated by Eagle Nation fans that were still hype off of the city championship, won by the Eagles last season. This game proved to everyone that the Eagles, better known as U.S.O, is a force to be reckoned with. Although most of the star athletes had gone off to college, it didn’t seem like it was much of a setback for the team. CoachBerry, McCord, andLogan, plus additional staff put together a knock out team. Another city championship win is hovering in the minds of many of the players. A player by the name of Clay Moorefield says, “We’re going to the ‘ship’!”  There’s no doubt that’s where the U.S.O football team could end up reliving those glorious moments. With players such as Clay Moorefield, Abner Roberts, and many more the U.S.O football team has a bright future ahead of them.
