With playoffs in sight, Eagles building momentum

It was the Obama Eagles varsity team senior night last Friday against Brashear, and the team was looking to build momentum for the City and State playoffs which are now just around the corner. . The game started off well with Obama scoring first  and then Brashear, followed by some back and forth scoring. At the end of the first quarter, it was Obama up by18-11, Obama. Junior Calique Jones had a nice quarter.

Junior Darelle Porter’s big 2nd quarter  paced the Eagles to a 36-24 halftime lead before a slow 3rd quarter,as Brashear cut the lead to  50-43 at the end of 3,

Brashear again surged at the beginning of the 4th quarter before Darelle and the boys worked hard to end the game with a wonderful win, 70-59. Darrell Porter scored 20 for the Eagles.
