The USO football team played their last game of the City League schedule for 2013, bringing home a City Championship trophy, and an Undefeated trophy!
The game started off very slowly with no scoring in the first quarter. Playing through the low visibility due to showers couldn’t stop the USO team from doing what they do best! The second quarter started with a touchdown by Stephon Hawthorne, and extra point attempt by Obama junior Joel Macklin was good .

The crowd went into automatic celebration which seemed to motivate the team, with Obama  scoring after their quarterback ran the ball in himself. The Dragons came back with a successful touchdown, making score 13-7, USO winning.

The third quarter was very suspenseful being that the USO team came in field goal range, or red zone at least three times without finishing the job and having to kick the ball back to the Dragons. It wasn’t until the 3rd quarter almost was over when Senior AJ Roberts had a 16 yard touchdown run to bring the score up to 19-7! Allderdice soon scored one of the last touchdowns USO would allow of the season, trimming the lead to 19-13. With a minute left in the third quarter things started not to look so promising for USO when the ball was intercepted at our ten yard line and quickly resulted in another 6 points for Allderdice which gave Allderdice the one point advantage of 20-19.

Halfway through the fourth quarter USO came back as scores a touchdown to bring us back on to take the lead 25-20. The next points being made we’re strictly defaults on Allderdice.
There was a fumble on the kick return by Allderdice which simply rolled into our end zone and was recovered by Curtis Williams, which resulted in a USO touchdown making score 31-20. There was another score by default with five seconds left in the game when Allderdice got a safety and USO gains the last two points of the regular season and the game ends with a score 33-20. Congratulations to the USO football team and the Allderdice Dragons for a great season. USO football teams starts the first round of state playoffs against Somerset.
