Daniel Denlinger is a junior at Barack Obama Academy who is a part of the World Affairs Council for students, also known as the WAC. The World Affairs Council is a group of students from seven schools in the area and eighteen schools in the state that talk about current issues.

The students find ways that they can help with the issues and situations that are discussed. As a group the students talk about fundraising ideas for the school and hope these ideas get funded by the WAC.

Their fundraisers benefit places in Africa such as Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia.

Daniel said, “The world affairs council allows students to gain international relationship. It shows that young people are the future of our world. The council is also great when helping those who need it.”
