There once was a Pittsburgh library

Full of books that were well known to vary

Sadly for students

Prone to imprudence

The librarian was terribly scary

The newspaper has said that she’s dead

Perhaps that’s why she’s strange in the head

Straight outta Fort. Lee

Sippin’ hard coffee

She’s the queen of bookish bloodshed

When America first came to be

She was already getting discounts from AARP

Bell’s Consumer Telegraph

Not for the common riffraff

Going after rapscallions with a machete

So although she’s really antique

And prone to the occasional creak

None of us mind

And we’ll do just fine

For our librarian is certifiably unique
