This week’s Senior of the Week is none other than Lucy Pearsall-Finch. Lucy has been a member of the marching band for the last four years, and more recently joined the highly-acclaimed Obama Academy debate club. Though she is slightly intimidating when you first meet her… she is still intimidating after you get to know her. Learn a little more about Lucy below.

What is your favorite memory of Obama?

One of my favorite memories was freshman year at band camp when it was pouring and Sharif yelled run and the entire band started sprinting down the hill to the cafeteria. Those few weeks sparked my high-school career and created some of my best memories in high-school.

What will you miss the most?

I’ll miss the people. I have some pretty amazing friends and crazy classmates but they’ve made it a good four years.

Would you recommend Obama to incoming students?

Yes I would recommend Obama, I’ve grown so much over the past four years and this school has given me some of the freedoms and opportunities to do that.

What is one thing you would like to see changed about our school?

The Lunches!!!

What is something you’d like to do in your free time?

Lol what free time?

What is your favorite food?

Ice cream.

What is something you’d like to accomplish in life?  (it can be anything)

I want to be a lawyer and make some change/get some  justice in some capacity for the black community… oh and get rich too.

What are your plans for college?

I’m going to North Carolina A&T as a civil engineer major.

Any shoutouts or last words?

Shoutout to the class of 2k18!!! Y’all we made it together! June 10 is right around the corner!

(Author’s note: Lucy opted not to answer the “Who is your favorite teacher?” question).

(Author’s note #2: “Around the corner” is exactly 104 days).
