Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, and now Cult. American Horror Story aired the first episode of its newest season on September 5 and Caleb Nesbit has some opinions on the show’s latest season.

John Wesesky: Hi Caleb. I am aware that you have been watching American Horror Story since the first season. Please tell me, who is your favorite character of this season so far and why?

Caleb Nesbit: That is true, I’ve been watching since the beginning. So far, my favorite character is Winter. She is the babysitter this season played by Billie Lourd. The reason she is my favorite is because she is the most complex. We do not know much about her or her backstory which is what I like. She also represents the left being crazy instead of the usual right. Lastly, she is different from the rest, very strange. That is why I like Winter.

J.W.: Very nice, next question. What is your favorite scene so far and why? I know there are a couple that stand out from the rest.

C.N.: I really did like the scene in the grocery store where Ally is being terrorized by the clowns. It was a mix of funny and scary. On one hand, she is acting a fool which is making me laugh and on the other, this could be me in that situation. That is what makes me like it so much. It is a true possibility of what could happen. It made me think of what I would do in that situation. Also, you didn’t know what was gonna happen which added to the thriller side of it.

J.W.: Good pick, that was an interesting scene. Last question about the current season, are you excited for what this season has to offer?

C.N.: Definitely. I have always wanted to see American Horror Story do a season on cults. They amuse me so much and I am excited to see what they are gonna do. This season also plays with real phobias and common fears which I enjoy. I am truly excited how they are gonna mess with the characters and audience with the phobias,

J.W.: Wow, that is quite the answer. About earlier seasons, which one was your favorite out of the seven including the one still airing?

C.N.: Oh it is definitely Roanoke. The reason being that it felt the most real. That really added to the scary factor which increased my interest. It kept me focused the entire time. I did not know what to expect from that season. Everything was just out of nowhere, scare after scare, twist after twist, I didn’t know what to expect next.

J.W.: That does sound scary. Next, who is your all time favorite character? If it’s still Winter, you don’t have to explain.

C.N.: Wow. I have never been asked this. I would have to say Tate Langdon from season one. He really made me into American Horror Story. He was really crazy and I never saw any other character like that. It was something new and I liked it. I also liked how over the course of the episodes we see who he really is, a dead ghost who truly cares for the people around him.

J.W.: I like Flora better. Anyways, last question. What themes would you like to see for future seasons and why?

C.N.: I have three themes I would like to see happen. The first being Thatcher which would be about a boarding school the daughter from season five went to. It would be interesting seeing earlier characters come back. The second being a cruise ship or boat theme. This could either be about a cruise which would be interesting to watch and the boat could be about a slave ship. I feel a slave ship could have an eerie feeling and story to it. The final being an apocalypse season because why not?

J.W.: Those would be interesting to say the least. Well, those are all the questions, thanks for answering them.

C.N.: No problem. Ask again whenever.

Caleb sure did have some riveting answers to those questions. As you can guess with his answers, American Horror Story is a show where anything can happen. It can be scary, heartbreaking, and even sentimental. Be sure to tune in to the next episode on Tuesday at 10 PM on FX.
