Will Truman, Grace Adler, Karen Walker, and Jack McFarland. They’re back and better than ever. Prepare for the series revival.

After 11 years of being off the air, the series is coming back. The original series was on the air for eight seasons and won 16 Emmys to go along with it. At the time of its release, WIll & Grace was revolutionary. Many people at the time were not familiar with the LGBT+ community. This series brought attention to the community and helped people realize that gay people act just like everyone else. This was a major point made by Kate Ellis, CEO of the GLAAD organization. She said that we need this storyline again to further show this point. When asked about this point, tenth grader Silas Switzer stated, “I totally agree that we need this storyline today. People should recognize the LGBT+ community as the same as everyone else.”

According to USA Today, all of the main characters will be played by their original actors, so we will not have to worry about anyone fitting into Karen’s blouse. Also according to the website, the actors are excited to come back to what is basically the original set. Megan Mullaly, who plays Karen, has stated, “It gives it this feeling that we never left.”

The storyline to go with this revival happens 11 years after the series finale back in 2006, so it is basically where the characters would be right now. USA Today tells us that Grace is newly divorced and living with Will for a little while. Karen is still Grace’s assistant and Jack is still in the acting business. It’s basically like how it was from 11 years ago!

Fellow tenth grader Michael Eddy-Harvey has stated that he is “absolutely excited for the premiere”. “I have always said I’m like Will.” Indeed he is and he is not the only one excited for this series to come up again, even though most people do not even know what WIll & Grace is. When asked about the revival, tenth grader Caleb Nesbit said, “Will & Grace? What in the world is that about?”
